The app and its license

Margin is developed by Zander Modaress-Razavi. Features may change as the app develops. Apps distributed through the App Store use Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement unless a separate license is provided. TestFlight use is also subject to the terms Apple presents for that service.

Your account

Margin requires an account to open your library. Use an email address or Apple or Google account you control, and keep sign-in codes and authenticator details private. To use another sign-in method for the same library, connect it from your existing account’s settings.

Local edits sync when your device can reach the service. Signing out does not delete your cloud account. Account deletion is available in account settings after a fresh sign-in; its effects and remaining copies are described in the privacy policy.

Margin Pro subscriptions

Eligible new subscribers can receive a 14-day free trial. The purchase screen confirms eligibility, the trial length and the price charged afterward. A trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends under the billing provider’s cancellation terms.

Margin Pro provides access to the app on iPad and Mac, including unlimited AI conversations subject to short rate limits that prevent spam and abusive automated use. There is no daily or monthly AI message allowance. Temporary outages or provider restrictions can affect availability.

Pro is offered monthly or yearly. A yearly subscription is billed in one upfront annual payment. The purchase screen shows the actual price and billing period before you confirm. Web purchases are priced in USD; checkout shows the total billed amount before you confirm. Testing builds may allow access without a subscription; that does not create a paid subscription or promise permanent free access.

For App Store purchases, payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation, or when an eligible free trial ends. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel through Account Settings in Margin or your Apple subscription settings. Cancelling renewal keeps access through the paid period. Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under its policies and applicable law. Web purchases are processed by Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled through the web billing portal. Cancel before your next renewal to avoid that charge. Contact support for web payment or refund questions; your rights under applicable law are unaffected.

Sign in to the Margin account used for your purchase to access Pro on another device. Restore purchases is available in Account Settings. An active purchase cannot be shared between separate Margin accounts. Deleting your Margin account does not cancel your Apple or Stripe subscription. Cancel with the provider that bills you before deleting the account.

Your content and connected services

You keep ownership of the content you bring to Margin. Margin processes that content to provide the storage, sync, sharing and optional features you use. Only upload or share content you are entitled to use. People you share with may retain their own copies.

Hosted AI is included with Pro. If you choose to connect another service, that provider’s terms and charges apply separately. Review AI output before relying on it. You do not need your own AI provider account to use Margin’s hosted AI.
